Calista (Harden) Smith (’95, LD ’18) knew as early as sixth grade that she wanted to go to boarding school. She was fascinated by the idea of living and learning in the same space, and jumped at the chance to move from Ohio to Georgia to attend Darlington her freshman year.

After a transformative three-year boarding experience, she went on to study abroad in college, travel extensively, and forge a successful 30+-year career for a large bio-pharmaceutical company with a global presence.

Sergel and based on the Emmy award-winning television movie “12 Angry Men,” by Reginald Rose. Performances are Oct. 13-15 in the Zelle Black Box Theatre. Showtimes are 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday.
The College Board announced that Darlington School has been named to the Advanced Placement Program (AP) School Honor Roll, earning Platinum distinction.
Darlington posted a total mean SAT score of 1122, 77 points higher than the state average of 1045, 119 points higher than the national average of 1003, and 22 points higher than the next best reported average score in the area.
Seniors Oscar Jin, a boarding student from Shanghai, China, and Aiden Parsa, a day student from Rome, are among the 16,000 students nationwide to be named semifinalists in the 69th annual National Merit Scholarship Program.
The Purple Tie Tiger Tailgate was a huge success this year and grossed a total of $328,674 for Darlington’s four parent organizations: Pre-K to 8 Tiger Pride, Upper School Tiger Pride, Athletic Booster Club and Fine Arts Booster Club.
